La Canon IID ha un differente range dei tempi di otturazione, e un mirino migliorato con le cornicette selezionabili da top con l'apposita leva sotto il bottone di riavvolgimento da 50, 100 e 135 mm di focale. La fotocamera non ha il synchro-flash. Il fondino è rimovibile per effettuare il caricamento del rullo. Secondo Peter Dechert , la Canon IID2 fu fabbricata tra il Marzo 1955 fino al Luglio 1956, Come le Canon IIF2, IIS2, and IVSb2, la Canon IID2 è uno degli ultimi quattro modelli con l'avanzamento a bottone. la Canon IID2 ha qualche differenza rispetto alla Canon IID; un mirino ottico migliorato, un pò più grande e comodo per la visione. The one-piece lever next to the rewind knob select covers 50mm, 100mm and 135mm (1.5 x) focal lengths, Canon IID has not flash synchronization. Baseplate is removable. According to Peter Dechert's book, Canon IID2 was made from March 1955 to July 1956, and about 16,175 bodies were made. Along with Canon IIF2, IIS2, and IVSb2, Canon IID2 is one of the four last bottom loading Canon rangefinder models. These four models have significant improvements over the earlier models - the viewfinder optics have been improved, and the cameras have modern shutter speeds progression. Some consider these four models to be one of the finest bottom loading Leica Screw Mount rangefinders ever built. Canon IID2 is a little different than Canon IID. IID2 has improved viewfinder optics - the viewfinder is a little bigger and easier to see through. The shutter speeds have also changed. On IID2 they run in modern progression: 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 125, 250, 500. 1954  This successor to the IV Sb had an aura of top quality and precision. After the shutter was released, the shutter speed index mark on the fast shutter speed dial indicated the shutter speed. On the dial, the shutter speed settings increased in two-fold increments, making it easy to use. One of the VT's biggest advantages was its 3 position viewfinder with three rotating prisms giving it three different viewfinder magnifications. Canon VT and then a family of three models identified as Canon VT Deluxe on the front of the camera. The models are: Canon VT: The earliest and by far the most common of the bunch. Has film rewind knob - not a crank. Canon VT Deluxe VTD: Improved model; has a film rewind crank rather than a knob. Canon VT Deluxe VTDZ: Same as the above, but there is a door-opening key on the bottom plate (the previous model doesn't have one). Canon VT Deluxe VTDM: Cloth shutter curtains have been replaced by metal ones. The viewfinder has a different tinge to it. Otherwise identical to the previous. 1956 - 1957  Canon L2 was made in 1956 and 1957. Only about 7350 bodies were made, and so it is a quite rare camera. It preceded Canon L1 by few months, and so it's Canon's first model that was fitted with a film advance lever rather than a knob. matr. 524.191 |
