The story of the Kine Exakta begins in 1932 in Dresden manufactured made by Ihagee Kamerawerk Steenbergen & Co., the standard Exakta was put into production in 1933
and it was the natural evolution of Exakta of 4 x 6.5 cm format. Collectors frequently debate if the Russian Sport has been The world's first 35mm SLR. Particular information provided by the Polytechnical Museum in Moscow, states that a prototype 35mm SLR was made in 1934, and it was perfected and put in production at the end of 1937.
The Kine Exakta was exhibited at the Leipzig Spring fair in March 1936 and was in production from Apri1 1936.
