the little 35mm french camera!

In 1937, this company, launches one of very first the 24 x36 French mm. The camera, tiny, uses a film which is specific for him. It will evolve until 1951, year when it will be replaced by Eljy Club. Eljy comes from Lumière, like Lumière brothers. The company was rested by the two pioneers of the cinema. The tube which supports the lens and the shutter is extractable. The finder is Galileo type and assembled on top. The shutter have speeds: 1/10, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 and 1/125, plus the exposures T and B. Focusing goes from 0,50 m to infinitum, the lens most frequent lens used is a Lypar 50mm f3,5.

Here are the first and the rare second versions of Eljy, all black with f.:3,5 and 4,5 lenses max aperture.

ELJY Lumiere ELJY Club type 8 1951 The Eljy Club was a modernised version of the Super Eljy with a superior lens and shutter, with extinction meter , Lypar 40:3,5 , Atos or Athos 2 shutter , also made in blue, green, yellow, red, browmn or white covering.
ELJY Lumiere ELJY Club type 9 1958 The Eljy Club was a modernised version of the Super Eljy with a superior lens and shutter, with extinction meter , Lypar 40:3,5 , Atos or Athos 2 shutter , this variant has memo film holder on advance film knob.
ELJY Lumiere ELJY Club type 10 1960 This Eljy Club has not extinction meter , Lypar 45:3,5. The first and only with accessory shoe on top. The last one of this family.
